Platform Version 0.9.0 Released Today

12 August 2011 By Jim Moores

Today we've released version 0.9.0 of the OpenGamma Platform, our comprehensive development platform for front-office and risk application development for quantitative finance.

While I know many of you were waiting for 0.8.1, we decided to do one better and wrap the fake data capabilities we wanted in 0.8.1 into 0.9.0. In the announcement on developers.opengamma.com, we explain why.

This release, expanding the calculation capabilities of our engine in handling a diversity of market data sources, drastically increasing the asset coverage of our data and analytics components, and continuing to refine our end user experience, is only 2 months since 0.8.0. We fully anticipate maintaining this pace of development to make sure that we're able to satisfy the needs of developers throughout financial services, both now and in the future!
